Taking part in GUS

The GUS study follows the lives of groups of Scotland’s children, from their infancies through to their teens, and will provide important new information that will help develop policies affecting children and families in Scotland. The Scottish Government would like every child to reach their full potential. To do this they need to know more about children’s circumstances; the opportunities, difficulties and challenges they face; and what happens as they grow up. In particular, they want to know if the right kinds of services and resources are available to families to help their children get the best out of life.
